Sai Shaktipat

Shaktipat is a highly sacred transmission of energy from master to student. It can be done through touch, a glance, sound, or thought. The significance of Sai Shaktipat is that it is given directly by a Sai, the highest manifestation of the Divine. Typically, the energy from Shaktipat dissipates after 40 days if not maintained properly. However, Sai Shaktipat is of a different nature, as the energy given by a Sai stays with you forever. Integrating this Shakti is a path in itself. In this process Sri Swami Sai Krsna shares the Pancha Shaktis - Five Great Energies which help to combat the pancha kleshas, the five afflictions of the soul.

These Pancha Shaktis are:

1. Iccha shakti - The power of will and desire

2. Gnana Shakti - The power of knowing

3. Kriya Shakti - The power of action

4. Ananda Shakti - The power of bliss

5. Chitta Shakti - The power of consciousness

Typically a transmission of this intensity and depth is not possible to do on a world-wide scale, even for a master. However, due to his severe tapas (penance) and the nature of Sri Swami Sai Krsna's Sukshma Sharira (Subtle Body), he has been made a vessel to give this incredible blessing freely, to all. 

The Sai Shaktipat Initiation is offered in two ways: both online through sonic experience, which has never been done before in history, as well as the in-person transmission which is offered at the Nirvana retreat - the 1-day retreat which makes up the first phase of Gurudevi Yoga.
